Casamigos Añejo Sour

This vibrant cocktail is perfectly balanced with fresh lemon juice and simple syrup for a refreshing and slightly tart base. The egg white (or aquafaba for a vegan option) adds a silky smooth texture, while a dash of Angostura® Bitters rounds it out with a hint of spice. Finished with a lemon peel or a classic lemon twist garnish, this drink is a sophisticated and smooth sip.

Ingredients

1.5oz Casamigos Añejo Tequila

1oz Fresh Lemon Juice

0.75oz Simple Syrup

0.5oz Egg White or Aquafaba*

1dash Angostura® Bitters

1 Lemon Peel (garnish)

Equipment

1 Coupe glass

1 Shaker

1 Strainer

method

  1. Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker.

  2. Dry shake (no ice) for 8 seconds.

  3. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into a coupe glass.

  4. Express natural lemon oils from peel over top of each cocktail and garnish.

*For Egg White – Make sure to properly store and keep refrigerated at all times. Aquafaba is an egg white substitute and vegan friendly.
