Interesting Facts

Espresso Martini is one of the most popular cocktails in the world. It is often referred to as a "coffee cocktail" or a "vodka coffee".

History of the Drink

The Espresso Martini was created in 1983 by bartender Dick Bradsell. He worked at the Soho Brasserie in London and was asked to make a drink for a fashion model who said she wanted something that would "wake me up, and then f*ck me up". Bradsell came up with a mix of vodka, coffee liqueur, and espresso, and the Espresso Martini was born. The drink quickly gained popularity and has been a staple of cocktail menus ever since.
