History of the Drink
The Fuzzy Navel is a classic cocktail that has been enjoyed by cocktail enthusiasts for over three decades. This delicious and refreshing drink was first created in 1984 as part of a marketing campaign to promote the sales of peach schnapps. The oriGinal recipe for the Fuzzy Navel replaced the vodka in a Screwdriver with peach schnapps. However, it’s now more common to see a variation that uses equal parts of vodka and peach schnapps, along with orange juice. The name of the cocktail is derived from its ingredients. ‘Fuzzy’ refers to the peach schnapps, which adds a soft and fuzzy texture to the drink. ‘Navel’ refers to the type of orange juice typically used in the recipe, which is made from navel oranges.
