Celebrate the Fourth of July with a fresh tasting and complex cocktail designed to complement your BBQ feast. This cocktail blends the sweet, juicy flavors of watermelon with the herbaceous notes of green Chartreuse, making it an ideal partner for grilled chicken or ribs.

Ingredients
3 Cubes Watermelon (muddled)
1oz Tanqueray No. TEN
0.5oz Green Chartreuse
0.75oz Lime Juice
0.5oz Simple Syrup
3 Dashes Serrano Pepper Tincture*
Equipment
1 Shaker Tin
1 Rocks Glass
1 Muddler
1 Strainer
method
Add watermelon and simple syrup into a shaker tin.
Muddle.
Add all other ingredients to tin, with ice, and shake hard.
Fine strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
Garnish: Watermelon chunk
*Serrano Pepper Tincture: Slice one serrano pepper into 4 equal pieces and add to 4 oz of Don Julio Blanco. Taste every 10 minutes until desired heat is achieved. (Remember this will be used in dashes, so heat level should be considerably high). Strain out pepper from tequila, label and date.
