João was born in a small town in the west of Portugal and in his late twenties he discovered the bartending world and instantly fell in love. João then moved to the capital, Lisbon, two years later to develop his bartending skills and further his knowledge in a busy and cosmopolitan bar environment. Since moving to Lisbon, João has continued to excel in the industry and is now the head-bartender in two renowned venues in the capital of his home country, Portugal.
