The recipe for the cocktail Aviation was first printed in a book titled ‘Recipes for Mixed Drinks’ (1916) by Hugo Ensslin. The cocktail drink has remained popular over the years and in fact has seen rekindled interest recently.
|Tanqueray No. Ten||40 ml|
|Fresh Lemon Juice||15 ml|
|Maraschino Liqueur||10 ml|
|Crème de Violette||Dash|
- Measure Gin along with all other cocktail ingredients in a jigger and pour into a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake vigorously
- Pour through cocktail strainer into a chilled cocktail glass
