The recipe for the cocktail Aviation was first printed in a book titled ‘Recipes for Mixed Drinks’ (1916) by Hugo Ensslin. The cocktail drink has remained popular over the years and in fact has seen rekindled interest recently.

COCKTAIL RECIPE

COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS

Tanqueray No. Ten 40 ml
Fresh Lemon Juice 15 ml
Maraschino Liqueur 10 ml
Crème de Violette Dash
BAR TOOLS

Cocktail shaker
Jigger
Cocktail strainer

PREPARATION:
  1. Measure Gin along with all other cocktail ingredients in a jigger and pour into a cocktail shaker with ice
  2. Shake vigorously
  3. Pour through cocktail strainer into a chilled cocktail glass
