This cocktail is named after an artillery gun known for its kick. It is said to have been created by Harry MacElhone (of Harry’s New York Bar in Paris) for returning WWI fighter pilots.
|Tanqueray No. Ten||30 ml|
|Fresh Lemon Juice||15 ml|
|Champagne Brut||Top up|
30 ml jigger
- Measure Tanqueray No. Ten and lemon juice in jigger and add to cocktail shaker with ice and caster sugar
- Shake vigorously
- Strain into chilled flute glass and top with Champagne
- Garnish with lemon peel and serve
