“Raising the Bar” is Diageo’s global programme to support pubs and bars as you welcome customers back and adapt to new practices following the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to stand beside you every step of the way.

Raising the Bar Australia

Our official Raising the Bar launch event was held on the 16th November at the Arthouse Hotel in Sydney, one of the venues that’s received support through Raising the Bar.

In attendance at the event was NSW Minister for Customer Service, Victor Dominello, Diageo Australia Managing Director, Angus McPherson and AHA NSW Deputy CEO, Sean Morrissey.

The event marked the official launch of Raising the Bar but also acknowledged the hundreds of pubs, clubs and bars across Sydney and New South Wales that are benefiting from Bundaberg Rum’s initiative.

More than 150 venues across New South Wales and 450 nationally have received ‘Bear Cares Safety packages’ providing essential supplies of hand sanitiser, dispensers, floor demarcations, thermal scanners and PPE.

The COVID-safety kits, worth $1250, are removing the cost burden from venues at a time when they are trying to rebuild from the economic hit of COVID-19 and get back to business.
