WE’LL TAKE THE HIGH ROAD
It was late last year, you may remember, when we took our World Class-winning bartenders to the historic Ketel One distillery in Schiedam. Well, they’re back on the road again – this time to visit the Dalwhinnie distillery and renowned, historic Gleneagles hotel in the Scottish Highlands. Watch our short film to see how this new trip hit the heights amidst the rolling hills and vales.
There are some dates that mean a lot to us – a birthday, special anniversary, or when you first got your new bar gig.
For our latest World Class-winning bartenders, 2016 will be front-of-mind for a long time to come. It’s the year they earned the right to compete against the very best at the World Class Global Final in Miami. That’s why we’re on a mission to keep reminding them about this extra-special time. Having checked out Ketel One vodka in its famous Dutch home of Schiedam, it was time get everyone together again to visit the famed Scottish whisky distillery Dalwhinnie.
Known for being one of the highest in altitude of all the Scottish distilleries, Dalwhinnie takes its water from a tributary of the River Spey in a remote Highlands location. That makes for a wonderfully pure, clean flavour, as well as honeyed sweetness and smooth warmth – Dalwhinnie is delicious as well as picturesque.
After taking in the distilling process, including the intense aromatics in the barrel room, our bartenders returned for a well-earned spot of rest and relaxation at the legendary Gleneagles hotel. With its spa, famous golf courses and – unexpectedly – archery range, Gleneagles covers all the bases. In fact, our bartenders seemed to enjoy taking aim!
So take a look at why being a World Class bartender hits the bullseye – combining the chance to learn more about great spirits while also being part of a great group of people. Sit back and enjoy our short film of the trip – preferably with a glass of Dalwhinnie in hand!
