After graduating from high school, Suguru was an air traffic controller for 6 years. An interesting, but high-pressured job which he left after being lured by the splendour of becoming a bartender. Ten years later, he is still found behind the bar at Bar Leigh Islay experimenting with new techniques. One of his biggest inspirations is Hiromi Uehara, a world-renowned jazz pianist who he listens to when he struggles creating new cocktails!
