Damien started his bartender carrier on Reunion Island, Indian Ocean. After many years working in night clubs, he started to give more interest to cocktail culture. His travels brought him to bartending courses in Thailand and Sweden to improve his knowledge and technique, where he developed a real passion for mixology. Soon after, Damien took up the position of Bar Manager at N°6 bar in Swansea, Wales, and took his inspiration from London cocktail culture. He finally decided to go back to his country of origin to work with all the spices and flavours that can be found on the tropical island. Damien earned the role of Head Bartender at Apoteek where he is free to push the boundaries and develop his creativity in the World Class Indian Ocean program including becoming World Class Indian Ocean Bartender of the Year 2019.
