Owen started his bar career in a small town on the east coast of South Africa and worked his way up to own and run one of South Africa's top bar consultancy and bar services, SIP Exclusive. He formally spearheaded the Barcode Academy in Cape Town and before that, the Bartenders Workshop academy in Cape Town and Mauritius. Owen has over a decade of experience and brings a flamboyant mixology style to the table and has loved sharing his knowledge with over 1500 students in 25 venues throughout Africa. After competing in World Class South Africa 2017 and 2018, Owen is delighted to be the current South Africa World Class 2019 winner. He is inspired all the new and exciting things happening globally in the world of bartending.
