Berry Margarita
The classic Margarita is mixed up deliciously with Berries and Don Julio Blanco.

Ingredients
1.75oz Don Julio Blanco
0.75oz Lime Juice
0.75oz Triple Sec Liqueur
2 Strawberries
4 Raspberries
1 Salt
1 Strawberry (Garnish)
Equipment
1 Coupe Glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Muddler
1 Cocktail Shaker
1 Hawthorne Strainer
1 Fine Strainer
1 Tongs
method
Salt rim a Coupe glass.
Muddle the Strawberries and Raspberries in a shaker.
Add the liquid ingredients with ice and shake.
Fine strain into a chilled Coupe glass.
Garnish with a Strawberry.

History of the Drink
The Spanish word for "daisy" is "margarita." The daisy's flower head closes at night and opens in the morning, which is said to be a perversion of the word 'day's eye'. And it's likely that the Margarita since the 1930's is a Tequila-based Daisy - a family of Victorian-era drinks created with citrus juice and sweetened with syrup or liqueur, and then strengthened with alcohol.
