The name 'Sangria' comes from the Spanish word for "blood" (sangre), due to the drink's red color. Sangria was traditionally made with red wine, fruit and a sweetener such as Sugar or honey. In recent years, Sangria has become popular all over the world and is now made with all sorts of different wines, fruits and spirits.
