Blanco Mojito

The Mojito goes Mexican! A mouthwatering mixture of Don Julio Blanco Tequila, fresh lime and muddled mint over ice with a splash of club soda...get ready to salsa!

Serves:

1

Ingredients

50ml Don Julio Blanco Tequila

15ml Simple syrup

1 Lime (small cubes)

8 Mint Leaves

1 Fresh limes (cut into small pieces)

25ml Club soda

1 Mint Sprig (Garnish)

Equipment

1 Highball Glass

1 Ice Scoop

1 Jigger

1 Muddler

1 Bar Spoon

1 Tongs

method

  1. Place Lime Cubes, Mint and Sugar Syrup in the Highball Glass.

  2. Muddle together.

  3. Add the Don Julio Blanco, then fill 0.75 with Crushed Ice and churn together.

  4. Top up with Club Soda and add Ice, if necessary.

  5. Garnish with a Mint Sprig.

16 g per serve

Interesting Facts

 The Mojito is arguably the most popular of Cuban cocktails with countless bartenders creating their own twists on this classic recipe.

History of the Drink

Some date this cocktail back to the 1500's and that Sir Francis Drake had something to so with it. It's hard to prove or disprove this, but what we do know is that it has been a global favourite for decades.
