Rub and Rye

Ingredients

43ml Bulleit Rye

20ml Lemon juice

20ml Maple syrup

43ml Egg white

150ml Peach beer

5 dashes of BBQ bitters

1tbls Mesquite salt

Equipment

1 Ice

1 Cocktail shaker

1 Old fashioned glass

method

  • Rim a pint of double old fashioned glass with Mesquite salt. 

  • Vigorously shake the whiskey, citrus, maple and egg white, and strain into the rimmed glass half filled with ice. 

  • Top up with peach beer (try Brasserie Dubaisson’s Peche Mel).

  • Finish with 5 drops BBQ bitters.
