The Sharms Cocktail

An original whisky cocktail which includes a local pepper to bring a bit of heat and spice to the smokiness of Johnnie Walker Red Label.

Ingredients

50ml Johnnie Walker Red Label

12.5ml Lime Juice

12.5ml Ginger Juice

30ml Simple Syrup

1 Dash Angostura Bitters

1Tsp Alligator Pepper Seeds

Equipment

1 Muddler

1 Shaker

1 Measuring Jug

1 Strainer

method

  1. Add alligator pepper seeds into acocktail shaker and muddle to pulverise.

  2. Measure and pour the rest of theingredients into the shaker: 50ml Johnnie Walker Red Label, 12.5ml lime juice, 12.5ml ginger juice, 30ml simple syrup and 1 dash of agnostura bitters.

  3. Add ice and shake.

  4. Double strain into a glass filled with ice

  5. Garnish with a lime wheel andalligator pepper seeds.

Alcohol Content: 

15.80g.

*Alligator pepper seeds are also known as Grains of Paradise, Guinea pepper grains, Melegeta, or Mahlab.
