Ingredients

1.25oz Crown Royal Black Blended Canadian Whisky

0.75oz Simple Syrup

0.75oz Fresh Lemon Juice

3.5oz Orange Juice

0.25oz Champagne

1  Long Twist of Lemon (Garnish)

Equipment

1  Champagne flute

1  Ice Scoop

1 Jigger

1 Cocktail Shaker

1 Hawthorne Strainer

1  Fine Strainer

1 Tongs

method

1. Shake the first four ingredients with ice.

2. Fine strain into a chilled Champagne flute.

3. Top with Champagne.

4. Garnish with a Lemon Peel folded over the edge of the glass.

 12.3 g per serve

The Brooklyn Cocktail is named after the New York borough and was created as a variation of the popular Manhattan and Bronx cocktails, which were already established and popular in the neighbouring boroughs.

History of the Drink

The Brooklyn cocktail was created in the eponymous New York City borough in the early 20th Century. It was oriGinally made with Rye Whiskey, Vermouth, and Maraschino liqueur, and was later popularized with the addition of Amer Picon, a Bittersweet French aperitif.
