Interesting Facts

The Ramos Gin Fizz is sometimes referred to as a ‘New Orleans milkshake’ due to its creamy texture.

History of the Drink

The history of the Ramos Gin Fizz is a testament to the enduring appeal of classic cocktails. Invented by Henry C. Ramos, a bartender in New Orleans, the drink quickly became a sensation thanks to its unique combination of flavors and textures.

What makes the Ramos Gin Fizz so special is the fact that it requires a full 12 minutes of shaking to achieve its signature frothy texture. This time-consuming process was once done entirely by hand, but today, modern bartenders rely on electric mixers to get the job done.

In a world where cocktails are constantly evolving and new drinks are being invented every day, the Ramos Gin Fizz stands out as a timeless classic that has stood the test of time.
