Ingredients

1.25oz Bulleit 95 Rye Whisky

0.5oz Raspberry Liqueur

0.75oz fresh Lemon Juice

1.75oz fresh Grapefruit Juice

0.5oz Simple Syrup

1 Grapefruit Wedge to garnish

Equipment

1 Highball Glass

1 Shaker

1  Hawthorne Strainer

1  Tongs

method

  1. Shake all the liquid ingredients with ice.

  2. Strain into an ice-filled Highball glass.

  3. Garnish with a Grapefruit wedge.

Alcohol content:

15.4 g per serve

Interesting Facts

Grenadine was recommended in the original recipe. Our twist uses Raspberry Liqueur instead.

History of the Drink

Early in the Twentieth Century 'The Blinker' gained popularity in the United States. The Official Mixer's Manual by Patrick Gavin Duffy, which first published the drink in 1934.
