A Mojito with serious fire in its belly, made with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, mint, lime and soda.

Ingredients

45ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold

45ml Soda water

25ml Lime juice

15ml Sugar syrup

10 Mint leaves

1 Mint Sprig (Garnish)

Equipment

1 Highball glass

1 Ice Scoop

1 Jigger

1 Bar Spoon

1 Tongs

1 Muddler

method

  1. Muddle Mint Leaves and Sugar in the glass.

  2. Add Captain Morgan's Original Spiced Rum.

  3. Churn with a Bar Spoon.

  4. Top up with soda and fill the glass with Crushed Ice.

  5. Garnish with Mint Sprig.

History of the Drink

Some date this cocktail back to the 1500's and that Sir Francis Drake had something to so with it. It's hard to prove or disprove this, but what we do know is that it has been a global favourite for decades.
