This sumptuous sipper will sweep you away! Smirnoff Passion Fruit Vodka, chilled with Triple Sec Liqueur and Lemon that's served straight up over a layer of Passion Fruit Red Syrup - irresistible!

Ingredients

35ml  Smirnoff Passion Fruit Vodka

10ml Triple Sec Liqueur

15ml Lemon Juice

10ml Passionfruit Red Syrup

1 Tsp Sugar (Garnish)

1 Lemon Twist (Garnish)

Equipment

1 Martini Glass

1 Ice Scoop

1 Jigger

1 Cocktail Shaker

1 Hawthorne Strainer

1  Fine Strainer

1 Tongs

method

  1. Rim a Martini Glass with Sugar and set aside.

  2. Shake the first three liquid ingredients with Ice.

  3.  Fine strain into the Sugar-Rimmed Martini Glass.

  4. Pour the Passion Fruit Red Syrup into the centre of the Martini Glass.

  5. Garnish with a Lemon Twist.

Lemon Drops are traditionally made with vodka, but can also be made with gin, rum, or tequila.

History of the Drink

Lemon Drops are believed to have originated in San Francisco during the 1970s. The first known recipe appeared in print in 1978. The drink gained popularity in the 1980s and 1990s and has continued to be a popular choice at bars and clubs.
