Ingredients

35ml Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka

10ml Triple sec

25ml Lemon juice

1 Tbsp Sugar

1 Lemon Wheel (Garnish)

Equipment

1 Martini Glass

1 Ice Scoop

1 Jigger

1  Cocktail Shaker

1 Hawthorne Strainer

1 Fine Strainer

1 Tongs

method

  1. Rim a Martini Glass with Sugar, if desired, and set aside.

  2. Shake all the liquid ingredients with Ice.

  3. Fine strain into the chilled Martini Glass.

  4. Garnish with a Lemon Wheel.

History of the Drink

Lemon Drops are believed to have originated in San Francisco during the 1970s. The first known recipe appeared in print in 1978. The drink gained popularity in the 1980s and 1990s and has continued to be a popular choice at bars and clubs.
