Ingredients

1.25oz Bulleit Rye

1.25oz Dry Vermouth

0.5oz  French Bitter Aperiti

0.5oz Maraschino Syrup

1 Cherry (Garnish)

Equipment

1 Coupe Glass

1  Ice Scoop

1 Jigger

1 Muddler

1 Mixing Glass

1 Julep Strainer

1 Bar Spoon

1 Tongs

method

  1. Add all the ingredients to an ice-filled Mixing glass.

  2. Stir to mix, chill and dilute.

  3. Strain into a chilled Coupe glass.

  4. Garnish with a Cherry.

27.6g per serve

Interesting Facts

The Brooklyn Cocktail is named after the New York borough and was created as a variation of the popular Manhattan and Bronx cocktails, which were already established and popular in the neighbouring boroughs.

History of the Drink

The Brooklyn cocktail was created in the eponymous New York City borough in the early 20th Century. It was oriGinally made with Rye Whiskey, Vermouth, and Maraschino liqueur, and was later popularized with the addition of Amer Picon, a Bittersweet French aperitif.
