A fresh mix of Smirnoff Red and cranberry juice with a splash of grapefruit juice.



1.75oz Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka
3.5oz Cranberry Juice
1.75oz Grapefruit Juice
1 Lime Wedge (Garnish)
1 Large Wine Glass
1 Tongs
Fill a large wine glass with cubed ice.
Add all the Vodka and Cranberry Juice.
Slowly add the Grapefruit juice do that it floats on top.

A Cape Codder serves as the foundation of the drink known as the Bay Breeze, which also contains pineapple juice. Other names for the beverage include Downeaster, and Hawaiian Sea Breeze.
Ocean Spray and the Cranberry Growers Association undertook a marketing campaign that helped create the Bay Breeze. In the late 1940's they were seeking a means to increase cranberry juice sales and resorted to cocktails to do do. Thus, the "Breeze" cocktail family came into being.
