Some people believe that the Hot Toddy can help relieve congestion and coughing. Honey is a natural cough suppressant, and lemon juice can help clear phlegm.
The Hot Toddy is said to have originated in Scotland and is traditionally made with whisky, honey, water and a lemon wedge. It’s often drunk as a way to stave off colds and flu.
