Interesting Facts

The original recipe for the cocktail was lost for many years, and it wasn't until the 1970s that it was rediscovered by Ngiam's nephew.

History of the Drink

The cocktail was invented by Ngiam Tong Boon, a bartender at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore in 1915. The Singapore Sling was a unique creation that combined gin, cherry liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice and other ingredients to create a complex and refreshing flavour.
