Southside Fizz
Tanqueray is mixed with Lime and Mint in this fresh, herbal cocktail.

50ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin
25ml Lime Juice
8 Mint Leaves
15ml Sugar Syrup
60ml Soda Water
1 Mint Sprig (Garnish)
Equipment
1 Highball Glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Bar Spoon
1 Tongs
1 Muddler
method
Muddle Lime Wedges with Sugar Syrup in the Highball Glass.
Add the Tanqueray and fill glass with Crushed Ice.
Churn with a Bar Spoon.
Add more Crushed Ice, if required.
Top with Soda Water.
Garnish with a Mint Sprig.

Hugo Ensslin's 1916 Recipes for Mixed Drinks includes a recipe for the South Side Fizz, which over the years has evolved into the South Side served straight with soda.
