1.5oz Captain Morgan White Rum
0.5oz Fresh Lime Juice
0.5oz Fresh Apple Juice
0.25oz Pomegranate Syrup
1 Pineapple Wedge (Garnish)
Equipment
1 Martini Glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Cocktail Shaker
1 Hawthorne Strainer
1 Fine Strainer
1 Tongs
method
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Fine strain into a Martini glass.
Garnish with a Pineapple wedge.

History of the Drink
The El Presidente cocktail was created in Cuba in the early 1900s and was named after the country's first president, General Tomás Estrada Palma. The drink became popular in the United States during the Prohibition era when many Americans travelled to Cuba to drink legally.
