Interesting facts

The El Diablo cocktail gets its name from the Spanish word for "devil." The drink is traditionally made with tequila, but vodka or rum can also be used. It is usually served in a tall glass with a slice of lime.

History of the drink

The El Diablo cocktail is believed to have originated in Mexico in the 1940s. It was created by a man named Don Javier Delgado Corona, who owned a bar in the city of Tijuana. The drink became popular with American tourists and eventually made its way north of the border.
