Manhattan - Sweet
A popular origin story suggests that the drink was concocted for a banquet in 1890 at the Manhattan Club NY.
RECIPE:
Bulleit Bourbon | 30 ml |
Sweet Vermouth | 20 ml |
Maraschino Liqueur | 10 ml |
Angostura Bitters | 1-2 dashes |
PREPARATION:
- Pour ingredients into mixing glass with ice
- Stir with bar spoon
- Strain and serve ‘straight up’ into a chilled cocktail glass
- Garnish with a cherry
Rye whiskey may be used as an alternative to Bourbon.
