  • Preparation
    1. Shake all the liquid ingredients, except for the Cola, with Ice.
    2. Strain into an Ice-filled Highball Glass.
    3. Top with Cola.
    4. Garnish with a Lemon Wedge.

The 1980's saw the peak of this beverage's popularity. Of the various genesis claims, the one that Robert "Rosebud" Butt was the creator at the Oak Beach Inn in Babylon, New York. Long Island is a region of New York State and the beverage disguises its alcoholic content by seeming like iced tea, leading many to believe that its true roots date back to the prohibition era.
