The refreshing margarita cocktail can be enjoyed straight-up, over ice, or even served as a frozen cocktail.
HISTORY
This well-loved cocktail typically consists of tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice and is served with salt on the rim of the glass (a champagne coupe is a popular choice). Its origin stories are plentiful, but it’s widely thought to have evolved from the Mexican drink, the Brandy Daisy, which became popular during Prohibition as U.S. residents travelled to Mexico for alcohol. Incidentally, margarita is Spanish for “daisy”.
