History of the drink

This classic was created and marketed in 1945 by the Ocean Spray cranberry growers to sell more cranberry juice, and was originally called a “Red Devil”. The drink was renamed the “Cape Codder” in the early ‘60s and still goes by this name to this day, particularly within the U.S. This colourful, simple cocktail is traditionally served on the rocks, in a highball glass and finished with a slice of lime for garnish.
