Australian Pink Gin Spritz
Celebrate with the perfect combination of Gordan's Pink Gin, Lemonade and a splash of Prosecco to finish.

45ml Gordon's Pink Gin
75ml Lemonade
30ml Prosecco
1 Sliced Strawberry (Garnish)
Equipment
1 Copa Glass
1 Ice Scoop
1 Jigger
1 Bar Spoon
1 Tongs
method
Build in an Ice-filled Copa Glass.
Stir gently to combine.
Garnish with a Strawberry Slice.

Interesting Facts
Whilst an exact recipe for the Spritz is difficult to ascertain, bartenders often gave recipes using words like ‘Splash of’ as opposed to quantities. This was considered the norm for the original Spritz to be equal parts wine and carbonated water.
History of the Drink
The Spritz is a beverage that has its roots in Venice and is named after the German verb ‘Spritzen’, which means to spray or splash. According to the history, Austrian soldiers who were stationed in Venice created the drink by adding soda water to the local wines. By using various liqueurs, you can make practically endless varieties of the Spritz.
