Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky Sour
A spicy and sour cocktail, complementing the flavours of Johnnie Walker Black Label.
This simple yet brilliant cocktail follows the basic elements of a punch (sour/sweet/sour/weak) and is all about letting the base spirit (in this case whisky) shine! The first written record of this recipe is in Jerry Thomas’ iconic ‘The Bartender’s Guide’, from 1862. However, it’s likely that sours existed for many years before this, as they were popular drinks among sailors on naval ships, who added lemon to their drinks to ward off scurvy.
